Project Description

At 257 Bannister Road in Canning Vale, the massive roof replacement project successfully made the switch from metal to metal. In order to replicate the current roof's profile, a painstaking process included removing all of the old roof sheets and replacing them with new zincalume piercing fixed 5 rib profiled Superdek or a similar profile with a 0.48BMT sheet thickness, spanning about 1600m². The project included installing side aprons, an upper ridge cut, a rear box gutter, and a west side gutter using profiled flashing and standard zincalume metal components.

An additional eighteen dektite fittings around air conditioning penetrations, four new 150mm zinc flumes with matching dektite fittings, and the supply and installation of grade-appropriate roof screws with neo washers were among the special provisions made for dry pan areas above air conditioning penetrations.

The use of existing anticon insulation beneath the roof sheets was prioritised, while the integrity of existing wall cappings and wall cladding was preserved.
