Project Description

The project commenced with the pre-ordering of necessary supplies needed to ensure smooth operations, followed by prompt notifications to relevant parties before the crew was deployed to the assigned location. A large work area was set up, with multiple stories of scaffolding around the outside of the structure. The painstaking procedure started with repairing any damaged tiles and repointing 41 linear metres of the ridge line with flexible pointing cement. After applying two coatings of shale grey Dulux AcraTex roof membrane and a clear sealing coat, the roof was high-pressure cleaned to improve its appearance and longevity. Ninety metres square feet of asbestos were carefully removed and disposed of, and a clearance certificate was given.

In order to make room for the installation of 85 metres of Colorbond slotted gutter, 80 linear metres of Colorbond 100x75mm downpipes, 6 metres of Colorbond valley, and necessary flumes, gutters, downpipes, valleys, and damaged flumes were also removed and disposed of. Ninety square metres of eaves lining made of 4.5mm fibre cement board were also installed during this phase. Painting the eaves, render, piping, metre boxes, handrails, staircases, and balconies by hand was a necessary finishing touch.
